Art has always been a natural part of who I am. From an early age, I was captivated by color, texture, and the freedom that comes with creating something from nothing. I'm a self-taught artist, and over the years I’ve explored a wide range of materials and techniques.
expression
Through exploring a range of materials and techniques, I developed a style that blends abstract expression with intentional design—where intuitive marks meet structured composition to create visually balanced, emotionally resonant work.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent the early part of my career in business and finance. It was a completely different world, but one that taught me discipline and resilience. During a particularly difficult season of life, I turned to painting as a form of therapy and self-expression. I didn’t plan to share my work publicly—it was deeply personal. But as friends and family began to respond to it, something shifted. Commissions began to roll in, word spread, and slowly, what started as healing became a business.
In 2016, I began expanding beyond paintings and started incorporating hand-painted fabric into my work. That creative leap grew into the Carrie Pittman Collection—a line of handbags, pillows, window panels, wallpaper, and accessories. It’s been a way for me to bring art into people’s lives in new, everyday formats that add texture, beauty, and personality to the spaces and moments that matter most.
REACH
Today, I work with interior designers, retailers, businesses, and individuals to create original commissioned art tailored to their unique spaces and stories. I'm passionate about enhancing environments with meaningful design—art that resonates emotionally and visually with the people who live and work around it.
I live outside of Birmingham, Alabama ,on our farm, with my husband, Alan, and two dogs, Beau and Greta. I have two beautiful step daughters that keep me on my toes in the best way! Beyond painting and designing, I’m deeply committed to my faith.
connection
While my work and career continue to evolve, I still paint with the same goal that started it all: to offer beauty, hope, and connection. That passion is the foundation of everything I create—and I'm honored you're here to explore
Some of my work can be found in: Better Homes and Gardens, Architecture Digest, HGTV, Good Housekeeping, Neiman Marcus, Horchow, John Richard, Elle Decor, Southern Living, Cottage Journal, House and Garden, to name a few
