About Carrie

Carrie has been naturally drawn to art since childhood. As a self-taught artist, it was her experimentation with color and different mediums that helped her hone her abstract yet intentional style.

Carrie has been naturally drawn to art since childhood. As a self-taught artist, it was her experimentation with color and different mediums that helped her hone her abstract yet intentional style.

In her early career she worked in business and finance, but a difficult season found her turning to painting as a form of therapy and self-expression. She never intended to sell her work, but as interest grew among family and friends, word spread and she soon had a growing business on her hands.

This led to starting her career as a full-time artist, and now Carrie says she paints to make people happy or peaceful, and even to give them hope again like she originally found in the beauty of art.

In 2016, she decided to branch out from paintings and incorporate hand-painted fabric in order to share her work in multiple formats. This has turned into her brand ‘Carrie Pittman Collection’ of handbags, pillows, window panels, wallpaper, and accessories.

Carrie also works with fine retailers, design professionals, businesses, and individuals who would like to commission original art. She is passionate about bringing beauty and personality to enhance the environment the art occupies based on an individual’s preferences.

Most recently, she’s expanded her offerings through her storefront, CANVAS, which is full of art and lifestyle products all curated by Carrie and featuring the work of female entrepreneurs around the southeast.

Carrie makes her home in Birmingham, AL, with her husband Alan and their dog. Beyond living and creating in her city, Carrie is passionate about giving back to her community. She has been involved in numerous charitable organizations and gives back through her time, investment, and work.

Carrie’s work has also caught the eye of many designers, media outlets, galleries, and more, giving her numerous features nationwide. While her work and career continue to grow, Carrie still maintains her first love for finding meaning, beauty, hope, and expression through creating art. It is this passion that will continue to shape her work and career as she grows and finds more ways to bring the authentic luxury of her art, storefront, and brand to the world.
